Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Dear Parents/Carers,
I can’t believe this is it for 2018 – another year has flown by before our eyes!
This term, like others, has been manic what with the various Nativity and Christmas performance rehearsals and productions in front of parents. The children have done us proud. I love this time of year and seeing the children shine up on stage – their beaming smiles and their excitable waves to people in the audience! All the children during the EYFS and KS1 performances were amazing and a real credit to all of their parents. I am sure you are as proud of them as I am. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff involved with the performances, as without them these opportunities do not happen.
I would also like to say a very special thank you to Mrs Alexandre for all of her hard work and commitment – she not only organised the Yrs 3/4 and Yrs 5/6 Carol Concerts at the Church (Yrs 5/6 is on Monday 17th December at 1:45pm at St Margaret’s Church), but has prepared the Choir to sing after school one evening, took them to Matterdale Gardens and to the Mall in order to sing to various audiences. We are extremely grateful for all of your hard work and dedication!
Thank you to all the children for working so hard – I have had the pleasure of reading and seeing some beautiful work – poems written about Remembrance Day, ghost stories, superb Maths work, sewn Christmas decorations, to name but a few! Having children bring me their work and seeing their excitement on their faces, is the best part of my job.
To conclude, I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and I wish you all good health and happiness for 2019!
Yours sincerely
Mr Laker

Barming Children bring a smile this festive season
Most of us will look forward to Christmas, enjoying the festival and spending time with family and friends. Unfortunately, for many older people the festive season can be a difficult and lonely time. As part of the Christmas Friendship Appeal, the children have been working hard to make their own Christmas cards which have been sent to an MHA resident or Live at Home Scheme member to bring joy this year and really make a difference. We would like to thank all the children for showing their artistic skills and sharing the joy of Christmas with the older people in care.
