Welcome to Barming Pre-School and Primary School
Barming Primary School is a 2 form entry primary school on the outskirts of Maidstone. It is a co-educational school for children aged 2 to 11 years old. There are currently 416 children on roll.

Orchard Academy Trust
Barming Primary School is an Academy and is part of the Orchard Trust family of schools. The Trust currently consists of Allington Primary School and Barming Primary School.

Our school meals are provided by the Contract Dining Company. The company’s vision is to offer a high quality catering service for schools in Kent. Contract Dining Company offer great food by using fresh quality ingredients, locally sourced, which are cooked daily in the school. The cost of a school meal is £2.41.


All children in Years R, 1 and 2 will be provided with meals at no cost as part of a Government initiative.

Free School Meals

If you think your child could be eligible for Government funded Free School Meals, please contact the office on either 01622 726472 or who will be happy to send you an application form via ParentMail or you can indeed apply yourself by clicking here.  


Decisions on whether your child is entitled will happen quite quickly from Kent County Council and the school will be notified directly.  There is no need to re-apply each year, entitlements carry on until your circumstances change in which case, the Free School Meals team should notify parents of any changes to your entitlement and will also let the school know.
