What does our school data tell you?
EYFS
In EYFS our data has remained consistent between 2022/23 and 2023/24 and is above Kent and National figures.
School = 71.7% GLD
Kent = 67.8% GLD
National 67.8% GLD
This data shows that the children who attend Barming Pre-school and Primary School have a good start to their learning journey.
KS1
In KS1 there are no more SATs tests and therefore there is nothing to report on for Reading, Writing or Maths. However, our phonics data for Year 1s is again is above Kent and National figures.
School = 90%
Kent = 78.6%
National = 80.2%
This data shows that the children who attend Barming Pre-School and Primary School have a good start to their learning journey.
KS2
In KS2 are data is not where we want it. The ripples from the Pandemic and three lockdowns has taken its toll on the children's learning journey. The Pandemic created many gaps in the children's learning which needed to be plugged before progressing through the curriculum. Many families struggled to support their children during these times, due to work commitments and personal struggles. These children were in Year 2 when the Pandemic and first lockdown happened and this dramatically impacted on their learning journey.
So please be mindful when looking at the KS2 data that these children had to work incredibly hard to catch up on 18 months of lost learning.
NB: we included the 96+ scaled scored results to demonstrate that we had many children who just missed out on achieving the expected standard.
We have lots of strategies in place to improve our outcomes and as a school we are working with our children and families to improve outcomes.
