Mental Health

At Barming Primary School we currently have two Mental Health First Aiders:

Mr C. Laker - Headteacher

Miss H. Rootes - Deputy Headteacher

We recognise that mental health is just as important as our physical health and understand the impact that it can have on individuals and families.   We are not able to diagnose mental health concerns/issues, but we can be a friendly listening ear and can certainly offer support through A.L.G.E.E.

A - Approach, assist and assess.

L - Listen and communicate non-judgementally.

G - Give support and information.

E - Encourage appropriate professional support.

E - Encourage other support.

If you are experiencing mental health issues or someone in your family is, please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange a chat, if you feel comfortable to do so!
