CLUBS

This year 2023 to 2024 clubs will be listed for the entire year so you can see what is coming up. You will sign up termly (Term 1/2 then for Term 3/4 and then for Term 5/6).  However, to ensure fairness it will be via a paper slip sent home with a deadline to return it to the office.

Why the change?

When viewing the results of the Parent Survey you said you wanted more of a variety of clubs .....

So we asked the children in Term 6... all of them! They had some very interesting ideas but we listened and this year 2023 to 2024 you will see variety!

We would very much like to thank our staff for stepping up for our children and providing these clubs free of charge to our families on top of their very busy workloads. Thanks lovely Barming staff! :-)

OUTSIDE CLUBS that we offer 2023 to 2024:

The clubs below are clubs we also offer here at Barming Pre-School and Primary School but you will have to pay an outside provider. We are hoping this supports our children to celebrate further skills they may have and want to pursue.

Club One:

When: Term 1 Monday 3.15pm to 4.15pm
Who for: Year 5 and Year 6

Breakfast Club and After School Club:

Barming Primary School has provision for childcare at the start and end of the school day. This provides a secure and stimulating environment for your children. The Headteacher oversees the quality of the provision. 

September 2023 Prices:

Breakfast Club: £4.50

After School Club: £10

We currently accept: Computershare, Kiddivouchers, Edenred, Sodexo, BusyBees, Fideliti, CGPS and Government Tax Free Childcare.

About the provision: 

The school organises this provision for our families in order to support our working families, however, it does run independently. 

Therefore, if you have any messages for school staff (not staff working during wraparound care) can I please ask our families to go through the proper channels and contact the school directly via the following means: 

• Contacting your child’s class teacher (Key Stage Leaders/ Family Support Worker etc.) via the school office or WEDUC. 
• Emailing the school office or Inclusion Manager, Mrs Stere and stating ‘For the attention of…’ (FAO). 
• Speaking to your child’s class teacher face to face during pick up times. 
• Telephoning the school office. 

Families need to ensure that our wraparound care can meet the needs of your child(ren) as it is independent of the school and therefore additional adult support, such as key workers, are not available at this time as it is a separate paid for service.   If your child(ren) need additional support at all times or require smaller settings, we do advise you to look for alternative provision.   We know a couple of lovely child minders and we are happy to share their details with you individually, on request.

Terms and Conditions

1.    All bookings need to be made via WEDUC. Thank you.

2.   Late fees will apply to all children who are not collected by the time the After School Club closes.  The late fee is chargeable at £1 per minute after the designated collection time which is currently 6.00pm.  *The end time may change under certain circumstances i.e. Covid-19 etc.*

3.   All children for Breakfast Club are asked to arrive by 8.00am to ensure that the children have time for breakfast and have time to relax and play before lessons.

4.   The school will not be able to issue any refunds/credits for non-attendance except in the cases of *Covid-19* and all school closures.

5.  In the event that you may be late to collect your child, you must call the After School Club on 07555 115305 to inform them you may be late.  As mentioned in point 2, this will incur late fees.

7.  If another adult other than a parent or who usually collects your child is collecting your child(ren), please ensure that the After School Club staff are notified.  You can do this by calling/texting the above mobile number. They will also be asked for the password. Thank you.
