We are a 2 form entry primary school on the outskirts of Maidstone. It is a co-educational school for children aged 2 to 11 years old. There are currently 416 children on roll.

Orchard Academy Trust
Barming Primary School is an Academy and is part of the Orchard Trust family of schools. The Trust currently consists of Allington Primary School and Barming Primary School.

Geography – What is it like to live by the coast?

Where are the seas and oceans surrounding the UK?

What is the coast?

What are the features of the Jurassic Coast?

How do people use Weymouth?

How do people use our local coast? (Data collection and findings)

 

 

Science - Plants

 

Describe how seeds and bulbs grow into plants.     

Describe what plants need in order to grow and stay healthy (water, light & suitable temperature).  

Observe closely, using simple equipment.      

Use our observations and ideas to suggest answers to questions.  

 

 

Maths 

 

Multiplication & Division

Recognise that division is the inverse of multiplication and use to check calculations.

 

Measures - Time

Compare and sequence intervals of time.

 

Measures – Money

 

Find different combinations of coins that equal the same amounts of money.

Solve simple problems in a practical context involving addition & subtraction of money of the same unit, including giving change.

 

Statistics

Ask and answer simple questions by counting the number of objects in each category and sorting the categories by quantity

Ask and answer questions about totalling and compare categorical data
