Dear Parents and Carers,

World Book Day - Thursday 2^nd March 2023

World Book Day is fast approaching and we are looking forward to celebrating all things, ‘bookish’ on Thursday 2^nd March with our theme for this year being Traditional Tales (with a twist!).

This year we have made the decision NOT to dress up as we already have BREAK THE RULES DAY on the Friday 3^rd March!

The children will still have opportunity to enjoy many of the activities that we have enjoyed on previous book days.  For example, the book token design competition, listening to live lessons from authors or illustrators, our buddy afternoons with other year groups and an opportunity to visit other teachers who will share stories with us.

We will be celebrating, 'Traditional Tales' this year and to help develop our oracy skills, we will be focusing on drama activities throughout the day as well as creating artwork that support the tales that different year groups will be reading.  It should make for an exciting and enjoyable day for our children!

The World Book Day £1 tokens will be sent home via the children next week and can be used in one of two ways:
