Welcome to Barming Pre-School and Primary School
We are a 2 form entry primary school on the outskirts of Maidstone. It is a co-educational school for children aged 2 to 11 years old. There are currently 416 children on roll.

Orchard Academy Trust
Barming Primary School is an Academy and is part of the Orchard Trust family of schools. The Trust currently consists of Allington Primary School and Barming Primary School.

EYFS

As you look at the main school gate – children in Year R enter the site via the left pedestrian gate and follow the path around to the Reception Block (EYFS).   Parents drop off via the Reception outside area which can be found through the double gates just past the red bike shelter.   Parents then leave the site via the car park / vehicular access or by walking down to the North Street Gate entrance/exit.

Outside the Reception block depending on the class your child is placed in.   Side entrance (drop off point) or front door.   Parents will be informed once the children have been placed into a classroom.

Key Stage 1

(Years 1 &2)

As you look at the main school gate – children in Years 1 & 2 enter the site via the left pedestrian gate and follow the path around, past the Reception Block and down the stairs – Parents drop off their children at the bottom of the stairs and follow the path around to leave site (pass the school mini-bus).   Parents leave the site via the car park / vehicular access or by walking down to the North Street Gate entrance/exit.

Top playground with the wooden boat on it.   This can be accessed in two ways:

Via main entrance – follow right hand side pedestrian gate path and go through the pencil painted gate.

North Street gate entrance – follow the path until you come to the first set of stairs and walk up them to the top playground.

Key Stage 2

(Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)

As you look at the main school gate – children in Years 3 to 6 enter the site via the right pedestrian gate and follow the path down to the pencil painted fence.  

Years 3 & 4 break left and follow the path up until the path splits – drop off children here and continue towards the car park, leaving site via the vehicular access or by walking down to the North Street Gate entrance/exit.   Year 3 & 4 children enter the building via the door to the right of the main steps into school. 

Parents of Year 5 & 6 children will continue through the gate in the pencil fence to the top playground (wooden boat).   The children will enter the building via various doors from top playground.   Children will be shown their respective door.  Parents leave the site via the car park / vehicular access or by walking down to the North Street Gate entrance/exit.

Years 3 & 4: Top playground with the wooden boat on it.   This can be accessed in two ways:

Via main entrance – follow right hand side pedestrian gate path and go through the pencil painted gate.

North Street gate entrance – follow the path until you come to the first set of stairs and walk up them to the top playground.

Years 5 & 6: Bottom playground with the basketball posts. This can be accessed in two ways:

Via main entrance – follow right hand side pedestrian gate path through the pencil painted gate, keep to the right-hand side and go down the next set of steps.

North Street gate entrance – follow the path until you come to the bottom playground.
