About Us

Welcome to Barming Pre-School 

At Barming Pre-School, our aim is to provide quality care and education for our youngest children in a safe and secure environment.

We aim to ensure that our service is fully inclusive in meeting the needs of all children. Our setting is committed to anti-discriminatory practice to promote equality of opportunity and valuing diversity for all children and families.

The Pre-school is led by a qualified teacher, supported by a wonderful team of highly skilled pre-school assistants. All staff are qualified as to the requirements of OFSTED and undertake training in additional areas. 

We are registered to claim grant funding from Kent County Council for eligibletwo, three and four-year-old children. We also accept Childcare Vouchers. Additionally we are registered to claim free for 2 funding for children whose parents meet the necessary criteria.

We are registered for up to 40 children per session and are fully staffed in excess of the minimum requirements of OFSTED.

We are open term time only and follow the same opening pattern as Barming Primary School. We take children from two years old.

As of September 2026 our fees are £20 per session with a £5.00 charge for an extended day.

We operate a key person scheme. We believe that children settle best when they have a person to relate to, who knows them and their parents well, and who can meet their individual needs.
