Wrap Around Care & Holiday Club

Breakfast Club and After School Club:

Barming Primary School has provision for childcare at the start and end of the school day. This provides a secure and stimulating environment for your children. The Headteacher oversees the quality of the provision.

All bookings are made via the 'Accounts' section on your ParentMail app (unless paying by Childcare Vouchers (please see below)).

Working families can pay for wrap around Care through a workplace Childcare voucher scheme.  Childcare voucher bookings are made via the school office (office@barming.kent.ch.uk) and not through ParentMail.  Once we have your request, we will then raise an invoice which you use to raise the correct amount of childcare vouchers for payment to Barming.

We currently accept: Computershare, Kiddivouchers, Edenred, Sodexo, BusyBees, Fideliti, CGPS and Government Tax Free Childcare.

About the provision:

The school organises this provision for our families in order to support our working families, however, it does run independently.

Therefore, if you have any messages for school staff (not staff working during wrap around care) can I please ask our families to go through the proper channels and contact the school directly via the following means:

  • Contacting your child’s class teacher (Key Stage Leaders/ Family Support Worker etc.) via ClassDojo.
  • Emailing the school office or Inclusion Manager, Mrs Stere and stating ‘For the attention of…’ (FAO).
  • Speaking to your child’s class teacher face to face during pick up times.
  • Telephoning the school office.

Any messages handed to the wrap around care staff for the attention of school staff will not be passed on.   We are not trying to be awkward, but different staff work at different times.

Obviously, if the messages relate to the wrap around care provision then please feel free to speak to the wrap around care staff.

We just want to ensure that your messages get to where they are meant to!

Families need to ensure that our wrap around care can meet the needs of your child(ren) as it is independent of the school and therefore additional adult support, such as key workers, is not available at this time as it is a separate paid for service.   If your child(ren) need additional support at all times or require smaller settings, we do advise you to look for alternative provision.   We know a couple of lovely child minders and we are happy to share their details with you individually, on request.

Thank you for your support in these matters.

Kind regards

Mr C. Laker

Headteacher

Wraparound Care - Voucher Bookings for Term 2 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

If you pay for your child to attend either Breakfast and/or After School Club and use a Childcare Voucher Scheme, the office will be taking your bookings for Term 2 only on or before Thursday 20th October 2022, bookings will not be able to be made if submitted after this date. We ask that all bookings are made via email (office@barming.kent.sch.uk) at any time beforehand with your requirements.

Once the office has received your booking requirements, you will be issued with an invoice. We kindly ask that you wait until you receive your invoice before booking your childcare vouchers to ensure that only the amount on the invoice is requested and so that the finance team at Allington can reconcile invoices and vouchers easily and correctly.

Please could you include your Childcare Voucher Scheme Membership Number or Voucher Number within your booking email where possible so that the finance team can marry up the Wraparound Care bookings with the Childcare Voucher Invoice payment they receive.

Kind Regards,

The Barming Primary School Team
