Term 3 Global Trade

Term 3 2021 - 2022

Happy New Year and welcome back!

Our main topic for this term is Global Trade.  We will be learning what trade means and considering where in the world different goods and services come from.  We will learn what import and export means and look at what the UK imports and exports to other countries in the world.  This will link to our DT topic which is cookery which will see us making and eating our own culinary delights from around the world!

In English, we will be will be writing a non-chronological report about Wolves before we start our work the three little pigs - with a twist! We will continue working on sentence structure and cohesion in our work as well as widening our vocabulary choices.  In reading, Sunrise class will be reading Malamander and Russet class will be reading Wolf Brother - both fantastic novels!

In maths, we will be working with negative numbers and then move on to consolidate our learning on fractions and using the four operations of number with fractions.

Please note a change to PE days for term 3.  We will now have PE on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Children to wear PE kits into school on these days please.
