At Barming Primary school, pupils should leave school equipped with a range of skills to enable them to succeed in their secondary education. They will be enquiring learners who ask questions and can make suggestions about where to find the evidence to answer the question. They will be critical and analytical thinkers who are able to make informed and balanced judgements based on their knowledge of the past. Our children will have progressively broader knowledge of events and societies over time, a secure understanding of chronology, be able to make sense of the past and communicate historical ideas and arguments based on facts.
At Barming Primary school, pupils should leave school equipped with a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to study Geography with confidence at secondary education. Children will become curious and inspired geographers with respect and appreciation for the world around them alongside an understanding of the interconnection between the human and the physical. We continuously assess the children to build on their prior knowledge in order to overcome any gaps in their learning.
