ART WEEK

Wow, what an amazing week!

Our topic this year was Our Planet. We focused on the natural world and how it is so important to look after it.

As a school, we will be creating a pathway close to the pond area for 2019-2020. Each of the children had the opportunity to paint a pebble with acrylic paint with themes such as animals and landscapes.

Some of the projects completed by the children were clothes-peg owls, spider webs, painting and sketching landscapes, making kites and windsocks.

Art Week: Tuesday 25th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June.

Our topic this year is Our Planet.  We will be focusing on the natural world and how it is important to look after it.  Our plan is to re-vamp the quiet area by the pond with the children’s artwork whilst also incorporating outdoor learning.

We have many activities planned to ensure we cover different areas of the Art and Design Technology curriculum.  In order for your child to enjoy the activities without making a mess of their school uniform, could you please ensure they bring in an art apron/old t-shirt to protect their clothing.

I hope the children area as excited as we are.

Barming Children bring a smile this festive season

Most of us will look forward to Christmas, enjoying the festival and spending time with family and friends.  Unfortunately, for many older people the festive season can be a difficult and lonely time.  As part of the Christmas Friendship Appeal, the children have been working hard to make their own Christmas cards which have been sent to an MHA resident or Live at Home Scheme member to bring joy this year and really make a difference.  We would like to thank all the children for showing their artistic skills and sharing the joy of Christmas with the older people in care.
